Here we list all the research we can regarding creating a comprehensive and maintainable search engine for wiki.
Our aim is to create a range of microservices that we call a Search Transport and then integrate this into wiki in various ways.
Our starting point is to create a form of Google Custom Search engine we call a Topical Engine. We will create this search engine with an XML file we create programmatically.
Unfortunately it is no longer possible to use the Custom Search API to upload or update the CSE configuration.
Instead you have to Editing Custom Search Files manually. The file that will need regular updating is the: - Annotations XML File which contains the references to the sites that the CSE searches. This is not going to be a sustainable solution, but the file is quite simple to generate.
In the medium term we are going to need to generate our own wiki graph search.
